What qualifications are required?
There are 3 steps in the Super Lawyers selection process. First, lawyers must be formally nominated by peers or identified by a research department to join the candidate pool. Each candidate is then evaluated based on 12 indicators including special licenses and certification, community service, verdicts and settlements, experience, scholarly lectures and writings along with many more. Candidates are also evaluated within their primary areas of practice. Once the candidates are evaluated, they are then grouped into four firm-size categories and compared against other solo and small firm attorneys for the final cut.
5% of the total lawyers in each state are selected for inclusion into the Super Lawyers list.
